A cross cultural adventurer who has carved his own path and built a strong reputation as an indenpendent artist and live performer and has run many Music workshops throughout Europe.
A prolific songwriter who writes in many musical styles “heartfelt contemporary yet age old sounding songs”, drawing influence from Folk/rock and traditional Irish and world Music.
He has worked with many wonderful musicians including the late great Martin Allcock (Fairport Convention, Robert Plant, Cat Stevens) and great fiddle player Andy Dinan and together released the album "Mancunia". wonderful Manchester based Guitarist and Mandolinist Dave Thom and Paul Daly and Elma McGelligott two of the finest Irish wooden flute player’s
He has performed and recorded with Mike McGoldrick, George Borowski and Arty McGlynn and has supported Richard Thompson, Daby Toure and Martin Stephenson among many others.
Tim has been based in France for twenty years where he has his own band “The Trance Alpine Troubadours” as well as playing with some wonderful duos and trios “Time Dreamers with Barefoot Iano and Paul Banvillet, “Green blues” with great harmonica player Bruno Hole.
He has performed at many clubs, theatres and festivals all over Europe, the states as far afield as Brazil and New Zealand.
Tim has a very organic approach to music and has followed his own musical inspiration.
